Owner Edie Martinez earned a B.A. and an M.A. in U.S. History from Boston College, completed two years towards the J.D. Program at Suffolk Law School, and became an ABA certified paralegal through Bentley College. From 1985 through early 1987, Ms. Martinez was a small business advisor in the U.S. Peace Corps in Honduras. She is the mother of Marie, Pablo, David and John.

Twenty years ago, SEARCH & RESEARCH, Inc. had a vision of providing legal research and writing for lawyers and non-lawyers alike. The vision has become a reality hundreds of times. However, the path that vision has taken has changed many times in many directions.

The path taken for this legal writing and research has evolved from a manual one to a virtual path. Twenty years ago, legal research was truly a manual activity. Statutes and cases were found by searching state and federal law books in the the law library. Government documents were found in the records of the particular commission or agency. Now, statutes, case law and government documents can all be found online.
The path may have changed but SEARCH & RESEARCH, Inc. still offers excellent services:

  • Retrieving government documents and relative information
  • Retrieving business documents and relative information
  • Retrieving Probate information (this is not recorded online)
No request is too small and all requests are treated with respect and guaranteed privacy. Paralegal services for this work are $75 per hour.

The Mobile Notary

The Mobile Notary provides traveling Notary Public service to Boston and surrounding areas everyday of the week from dawn to dusk EST.

Clients of The Mobile Notary come from all walks of life. Businesses just opening their doors need the services of a Notary Public. Patients and visitors in hospitals and nursing homes have papers to be notarized. Individuals at home and at work often need the services of a Notary Public.
